Greetings Fellow Sharks,
Tour ECHO, the nonprofit Global Farm, in North Fort Myers FL. This Farm is anything but typical. There are seven different settings at the farm, with crops, techniques, and animals from around the world. ECHO is home to one of the largest collections of tropical food plants in the United States.
When: Tuesday, March 14, 10:00 a.m.
Where: ECHO Global Farm, 17391 Durrance Rd, North Fort Myers, FL 33917
Time: Tour starts at 10:00 a.m. where we meet our Docent and see an introductory video before going on a 90-minute easy walking tour through the 5-acre Global Demonstration Farm. A golf cart/tram is available for any who should not walk the whole tour. Please let us know so that we can make arrangements for that. (For a docent-led tour, we must have a group of 10+. If our group is smaller, we will be merged with a public tour.) Suggested arrival by 9:30 a.m. The farm is approximately an hour from Venice.
Duration: 2 hours or a little more for the tour
Dining: Lunch afterwards for those interested at Hogbody’s Bar & Grill, 10440 Bayshore Rd, North Fort Myers, FL 33917. The menu can be viewed at: www.hogbodys.net
Cost: Cost of tour is $10.50 + tax per person. Cost for lunch afterwards per menu choice.

For those wishing to caravan, meet at 8:15 a.m. in the north end of the parking lot of the Hyundai dealer, 200 Jacaranda Blvd, Venice (Venice and Jacaranda). We will depart via caravan at 8:30 a.m.
