The Bishop Museum of Science & Nature in Bradenton, and Lunch at Oak & Stone

Greetings Fellow Sharks,

We will visit The Bishop Museum which includes a Planetarium,

Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat, 2 floors of exhibits and temporary exhibits that change continually. After we have completed our tour we will go for lunch. We can leave our cars and take a short walk across the street to the Oak & Stone Restaurant.

When: Tuesday, August 29, 2023

Where: Caravan from the parking lot next to the Shell Station on

Laurel Rd. (Will be getting on RT 75N)

Time: Meet at 9:00 AM, leaving Shell Station at 9:15 AM – The Museum opens at 10:00 AM. We will take in some of the exhibits and the Manatees, then see the 25-minute Planetarium show at 11:30 AM.

Duration: Approximately 4 hrs  (includes lunch)

Dining: The Oak & Stone is located across the street one block, a 5-minute walk. They have a full menu and a wall of over 40 taps line-up of constantly rotating selection of craft beers.

Cost: Bishop Museum – Adults $ 25.00, Seniors $ 23.00, and if you are a Selby Garden member it is free this month. Just show your card.
