Tampa Bay Grand Prix

Our May event and what we are planning is a track experience. Let me explain. Indoor go carts! Yep, indoors, that means air conditioning. Here’s the deal. It’s not a ride, it is a real racing experience. You drive electric go karts capable of speeds of 50 mph on a grand prix style track. Each “race” consists of multiple laps ranging between 12-14 laps. Depending on the number of members that participate, each race could consist of only Shark members.

So, here’s the specifics:

• When:    Monday, May 6th
• Time:      11:00 AM
• Where:    Tampa Bay Grand Prix

• Packages:   $45 per person
• 2 races

$54 per person

• 3 races

$69 per person

• 4 races

Note: Each race is roughly 26 laps.

• Safety:    Helmets are provided by the track.
• Club Shirt:    No
• Is this a guy event:   No, in fact if the ladies want, we can put a race together just for the ladies.
• Can I bring a friend:   Yes. The more we have signed up, it may make sense to rent the track for an hour.
• Carpool:   We will meet behind the McDonalds off Laurel Road at 8:30, departing at 8:45. We encourage carpooling.
• Food:  Of course. It will likely be a late lunch at an eatery to be determined.
