Come join us at the Southeastern Guide Dogs (SEGD) facility in Palmetto, FL, for Beyond the Dark, a multisensory experience. Engage your senses as you envision life from a new perspective. Step into the shoes of someone living in the shadows of blindness. Walk into the world of a veteran surviving memories of combat. IMPORTANT NOTE: Immediately following Beyond the Dark, the Club’s Benevolent Committee will present our 2024 donation to a SEGD representative. We are hopeful we can get as many members as possible to attend this event. Our Club donated $500 to SEGD at our October, 2023 meeting so this will be our second donation to SEGD.

Where: Southeastern Guide Dogs, 4210 77th Street E., Palmetto, FL 34221
Time: Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. The event will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and may include non-club members.
Duration: 1.5 hours for event with lunch following
Dining: Lunch afterward will be held somewhere in the near vicinity. Cost of lunch is per menu choice. A separate notice with details will be provided.
Cost: The normal cost to attend this event is $20 per person however SEGD has waived this fee for our members.
Is this a club shirt event: YES please wear your club shirt (any color).
